Our group is growing slowly but steadily. We now have five descants (soprano), three trebles (alto), three tenors and one bass,. Playing in four parts most of the time, with an occasional fifth line when the descants split into two, we make music twice every month. Friday afternoons at Scout & Guide HQ at 1.45 pm.
Reading music is good for the brain, blowing into an instrument is good for the lungs – why not join us and have a complete work-out as our chuckle muscles are also well exercised as we make mistakes.
We play selections of early music, folk songs and anything else that takes our fancy. Nothing too complicated as a general rule but tuneful melodies with lovely harmonies.
We’re looking forward to playing with the U3A choir at the Advent Celebration in Christ Church on Thursday 6 December, at 10.30 a.m.
We have room for more players – either come along or phone Sue
