The Recorder Group will be performing on 7 December in the u3a Advent Celebration.

All About the Recorder Group

We have new music to try each session plus plenty of old favourites.  Our 15 strong, four-part ensemble is well balanced with descant, treble, tenor and bass instruments.  One of our number has recently acquired a Great Bass, which adds a new dimension to the sound.

We play at the Scout & Guide HQ in our regular slot on the 2nd and 4th Friday afternoons.  We play a variety of music, but all within the range and ability of our group members.

Reading music and playing with others is an uplifting experience.  We find we leave the sessions more relaxed and happier than when we arrived.

If any members would like to join us then do please get in touch.  The ability to play basic recorder and read music would be helpful but an absolute beginner could come along to listen and learn to play, given the will to practice.

We were invited to play at Rufford Old Hall on Friday 13th May 2022
