Temporary Venues, Dates and Times

While Burscough Sports Centre is closed for refurbishment, we have a block booking every Wednesday morning, 10 am – 11 am, at Edge Hill University.

Please Note:

  • Cost £4 a week.
  • Parking available.
  • Please try to be on court 10 minutes early.

The Badminton will take place at the following Edge Hill Sports Facilities:

……… on Wednesday, 12 June, meet outside the Sports Centre at 9.45 am for directions for 10 am start.

DIRECTIONS TO EDGE HILL SPORTS CENTRE FROM ORMSKIRK

Drive up St Helen’s Road out of Ormskirk. Ignore the first set of lights to Edgehill.  At second lights turn into Edgehill.  Car park is on the left at the roundabout. Walk across the zebra crossings to the Sports Hub.

DIRECTIONS TO WILSON CENTRE (GYM) FROM EDGE HILL SPORTS CENTRE

Turn right out of the Sports Hub, past the bike racks, cross the road. Go through entrance.

 

Follow the path, pond on left, over bridge and water features on right. You will come to the building below, keep this building on your right and once past it turn right and the Wilson Centre will be opposite.

 

Created in the 19th Century in the Great Hall of Badminton House in Gloucestershire, Badminton is now regarded as one of the fastest and most energetic sports around!  Size and strength give no particular advantage. What you need is enthusiasm and energy. Our group includes players with a wide range of abilities – from county players to those trying to remember what they did in their youth. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact the Leader who can also advise you about cost per session and other details.
