Communications Subcommittee Responsibilities / Activities:

  • production and distribution of Magazines, Newsletters, Brochures etc
  • the monthly enews sent out to members via Beacon email
  • the Aughton & Ormskirk u3a website
  • Our Facebook page
  • publicity materials/events which promote what we do to the public
  • other tasks related to improving communications within our u3a eg the Horizons Slideshow, the Groups Schedule, checking for phone messages  etc

Please note that there is currently no procedure for publicity across the board. So, for example, if you want to advertise an event to appear in multiple places such as Magazine, enews, facebook and the website, you need to contact  all bodies separately.
