Philharmonic Visit – Thursday 19th January

Thursday 19 January: Domingo Hindoyan, Chief Conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, will conduct Bruckner’s Symphony No 4.
They call Bruckner’s Fourth Symphony the “Romantic”: the air shimmers, a horn calls softly in the distance, and whole mountain ranges seem to rise before your ears.

Afternoon Tea Cruise

The boat allows 12 passengers. The cost is £22.50p per person for a 90 minute cruise with full afternoon tea. All u3a members are welcome.

Folklore/Mythology

The group has begun zoom sessions on the 3rd Monday morning of every month. The next meeting will be on 21st December, when we will be talking about Black Dogs, Boggarts and other supernatural creatures in British folklore. ‘Chances’

Our Autumn 2019 Production We are proud to present, in November, another new musical written and directed by our own Gill O’Flaherty. ‘Chances’ is loosely based on a true story of finding and losing love over the years, with highs and lows and modern songs that ties up and adds to the emotion of the story line.

Our 2017 Itinerary

In 2017, we had successful trips to a Synagogue,  a Buddhist monastery,  Norton Priory and gardens including the walled garden and travelling onto Jodrell Bank Observatory,  the Hydro Electric mountain, the RAF museum and the famous laburnum arch in Bodnant Gardens.
