Old Time Music Hall Review

By | September 24, 2016

Our Old Time Music Hall show is now completed and was a huge success, thanks to your support!  Both nights were very well attended and generated lots of smiles and laughter – which is just what we’ve all joined the U3A for!!

The show was directed jointly by the very talented Chris McCabe and Gaynor Hale who both have many years of stage experience behind them!  It was staged at Aughton Village Hall on May 13 and 14, 2016.

A big Thank You to all the people who made it happen.  The fabulous costumes have been particularly commented on by many audience members, especially those worn by the two ‘lady-boys’ who upstaged the ladies (briefly) during one of the sketches!

Let’s all go to the Music Hall – yes we did!

Ladies and gentlemen, our warmest thanks and appreciation to you all for attending our fabulous, phantasmagorical, frenzied and fun-filled evening of Old Time Music Hall.  We presented your own, your very own, U3A members, dressed grandly, gorgeously and sumptuously and performing perfectly, precisely and elegantly.  At the piano the dextrous and divine Miss Nancy Wells.  The show was directed by the tremendously talented Miss Chris McCabe and Miss Gaynor Hale.  And at the conclusion of the proceedings the Chairman, Mr Tony Adamson, was pleased to declare that ‘it was chiefly yourselves’ as you, our amazing audiences, raised the rafters of Aughton Village Hall with rousing renditions of the marvellous medley.
