CHANGE OF PROGRAMME FOR OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER – Magazine information is no longer correct!

21st September – we are back on 3rd Friday in September with our own special presenter, Keith Lamb.  This ought to be the next phase in the Chris Barber story but who knows .

19th October – KEITH LAMB PRESENTS – FOR THE FINAL TIME.  Keith is taking extended leave to spend more time with his family.  Do come along and say goodbye and thank you for around 12 years of sharing his extensive jazz knowledge and collection of music.

16th November – PIANO JAZZ An evening of piano jazz on CD.  Two of our members were on a cruise and heard a jazz pianist by the name of Kim Purling.  They were blown away by his skill and the fascinating story of his life.  Perhaps we could re-create the atmosphere of a cruise liner, sip our cocktails as we listen to the music.

14th December – The Chicago Teddy Bears at Aughton Village Hall – ticket will be on priority sale at the October and November jazz meetings then booking will be open to other members.  Tickets will cost £9.00 each.  8.00 – 11.00 pm.  Bar will be open and mince pies will be served at the interval.
